Though the Lisbeth Salander role has yet to be cast, David Fincher is quickly filling out the supporting roles in his upcoming English-language film adaptation of “The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo” for Sony Pictures reports Deadline.
The latest casting news is that Robin Wright is negotiating to star as Erika Berger, the editor of Millennium magazine who works with Mikael Blomkvist (Daniel Craig). Former lovers who still care deeply for each other, Berger and Blomkvist still hook up occasionly despite her marriage.
Wright’s deal includes options for both sequels as the character plays an increasingly important part in later installments. Still crucial roles yet to be cast include retired industrialist Henrik Vanger, Lisbeth’s sinister guardian Nils Bjurman, and Mikael’s lawyer sister Annika Giannini.
