RKO Remaking Their Horror Catalog

RKO Pictures has launched Roseblood Movie Co., a subsidiary that will remake eight classic horror films RKO churned out in the 1940s reports Variety.

Three of the projects have a writer – “Lady Scarface” by Tom Puryear, “While the City Sleeps” by Shin Shimosawa and Jim Morris, and “The Monkey’s Paw” by Todd Farmer. Other films include “Bedlam,” “Body Snatcher,” “Five Came Back,” “The Seventh Victim” and “I Walked With a Zombie.”

RKO signed an interim agreement with the Writer’s Guild earlier this week, allowing them to progress through the strike.
