Rival “Snow White” Films Get In A Cat Fight

Universal Pictures has moved up its epic action-adventure “Snow White and the Huntsman” from a December 2012 release to one several months earlier – June 1st 2012.

Adjustments to the production timeline means the project, which stars Kristen Stewart, Charlize Theron, Chris Hemsworth and Sam Claflin, can go earlier. In doing so however it also gets the jump on Relativity Media’s rival “Snow White” project directed by Tarsem Singh (“Immortals,” “The Cell”) and starring Julia Roberts, Armie Hammer, Nathan Lane and Lily Collins.

That project is currently set for June 29th 2012, though with two “Snow White” films currently scheduled for the same month it’s now expected one will have to move. Reps for Relativity declined to comment on this announcement according to EW.
