The first poster has arrived for Guy Ritchie’s “King Arthur: Legend of the Sword” along with news that Snapchat is partnering with Warner Bros. Pictures to launch a first-to-market branded Snapchat puzzle lens on Sunday, January 22nd. The timed lens will have users race against a timer to unscramble their puzzled image and reveal the branded King Arthur Lens.
The film has been delayed numerous times and, speaking with EW this week, Ritchie puts the blame squarely on the competitive market place saying “that’s the only reason”. He adds that the upside of the delays means the visual effects get more time to be worked on.
The film itself stars Charlie Hunnam, Astrid Berges-Frisbey, Djimon Hounsou, Aidan Gillen, Jude Law and Eric Bana and opens in 3D and 2D in select theaters on May 12th.
