Two long delayed Paramount horror projects designed to resuscitate their respective franchises have been delayed yet again.
First up, Paramount has delayed its already completed “Rings,” the third film in “The Ring” series, by three months from October 28th to February 3rd. This marks the fourth time the film has been delayed from its original November 2015 release date.
At the same time, the studio is also delaying its second “Friday the 13th” reboot by nine months from January 13th to October 13th 2017. That film has been struggling to be assembled and has also been pushed back several times.
The announcements follow word this week that the studio is taking a $115 million write-down on an upcoming feature which is widely believed to be the family film “Monster Trucks”.
