“The Tudors” and “Velvet Goldmine” star Jonathan Rhys Meyers will headline a mostly South Asian cast for Summer Bodhi Nicks’ survival tale “Shambhala”.
The story follows the lone survivor of a plane crash in a country where he is stranded without language or culture in common. Australian/Indian actress Pallavi Sharda (“Lion”) and English born actor Akshay Kumar (“Homeland”) also star.
Nicks pens and directs the project which Huw Penault Jones and Jomon Thomas will produce. Filming begins this fall.
