Jack Reynor (“Transformers: Age of Extinction”) and Sam Riley (“Maleficent”) have joined the cast of Ben Wheatley’s crime thriller “Free Fire” which Martin Scorsese is executive producing.
Set in violence-ridden 1978 Boston, the story deals with a secluded meeting between two gangs in a deserted warehouse which suddenly explodes into a shoot-out and a fight for survival.
Sharlto Copley, Brie Larson, Armie Hammer, Cillian Murphy and Michael Smiley also star in the film which Wheatley and Amy Jump co-penned.
Luke Evans was to co-star but has dropped out due to a scheduling conflict. Wheatley’s “High-Rise” opens later this year.
