After so much buildup, anticipation and secrecy, Showtime’s revival of “Twin Peaks” finally arrives on the cable channel from this coming Sunday May 21st.
Ahead of that, Showtime has premiered a trio of five-minute videos that serve as an exploration of the phenomenon that was the original show and the devoted fanbase it earned in the decades since.
The first two episodes of the new season air on the network on Sunday May 21st. Subscribers to Showtime’s streaming services, Showtime Anytime and Showtime On Demand, will have immediate access afterwards to the third and fourth episodes.
Said third and fourth episodes will premiere on the network on May 28th. The remaining fourteen episodes will air in weekly instalments after that point.
David Lynch helms all eighteen episodes of the series which picks up twenty-five years after the inhabitants of a quaint northwestern town were stunned when their homecoming queen Laura Palmer was shockingly murdered.
