Last year came word that Genndy Tartakovsky’s beloved scifi-themed animated series “Samurai Jack” was returning to screens. Today the first details and artwork from the refreshed show have made it online.
Tartakovsky debuted some new concept art for the series at the Annecy International Animated Film Festival this week and hinted that the show would be coming to Adult Swim in the near future with a ten-episode long season he says has been “paced like a five-hour movie”.
Set five decades years after the events of the show, the new season examines the toll the past five decades have had upon Jack, exploring it in a darker way than the show could do previously. Jack has also acquired some elaborate armor, and a flashy motorbike.
Samurai Jack : 10 episodes penses comme un film de 5h. Plus noir. Plus adulte. Ca cloturera l’histoire. pic.twitter.com/lrULXeBWOM
