Renny Harlin’s found footage horror tale “The Dyatlov Pass Incident” has scored a new title and North American release date though IFC Midnight.
Now called “Devil’s Pass,” the film takes elements from the real life mysterious disappearance of nine experienced ski hikers in the Ural mountains in 1959. Weeks later, the bodies started being located – and no-one is quite sure what happened.
The film’s actual story though follows a group of modern-day characters that set out to retrace the path of the original hikers in an effort to figure out the mystery.
IFC Midnight have set an August 23rd VOD and limited theatrical release. The trailer is up at Apple Trailers.
