Reliance Gets Ratner For “Youngblood”

Reliance Big Entertainment, the Mumbai-based conglomerate which has made Dreamworks its ‘bend over b*tch’ to use the vernacular, has acquired Rob Liefeld’s iconic graphic novel “Youngblood” for Brett Ratner (“X-Men; The Last Stand,” “Rush Hour”) to direct reports Variety.

Reliance and Ratner’s Rat Entertainment made a deal over the property which deals with a superhero team sanctioned and overseen by the U.S. government.

Reliance has also acquired the rights to French graphic novel “Fly Wires” for Ratner to produce and Sylvain White (“Stomp the Yard”) to direct under the name “Infinity”.

The project is the first of nine development pacts Reliance has made with various Hollywood talent.
