Release Date Changes: June 30th 2008

‘Zephyr’ is back with some brief release date news. Most of these changes are rooted through New Line Cinema, or at least what remains of it:

Appaloosa: The Ed Harris-directed western starring Ed Harris himself, Viggo Mortensen, and Renee Zellweger, will debut in New York, Los Angeles, and Toronto on September 17th, then go wide on September 19th.

The Lucky Ones: The Neil Burger-directed war drama starring Tim Robbins, Rachel McAdams, and Michael Pena has moved up a month from October 24th to September 26th.

Pride and GloryThe New Line police drama starring Colin Farrel and Edward Norton will come out earlier than expected: October 24th 2008.

Hurricane Season: The Weinstein Company football drama has moved from November 14th to December 25th. To clear things up, this is the new title of The Patriots starring Forest Whitaker and Isiah Washington rather than another similar project.

Bride Wars: The New Regency romantic comedy starring Anne Hathaway and Kate Hudson will come out January 9th 2009.

Inkheart: The troubled New Line fantasy has moved up from January 30th 2009 to January 9th.

He’s Just Not That Into You: The New Line ensemble romance-dramedy has been delayed yet again, this time from October 3rd to February 6th 2009.

Ghosts of Girlfriends Past: As a result of the previous film’s move, the Matthew McCounaghy-led romantic comedy has been moved to an undetermined release date.

Final Destination 4: The latest iteration of the franchise, filmed entirely in Digital 3-D, will come out August 14th 2009: far enough away from Ice Age: Dawn of the Dinosaurs to claim most of the Digital 3-D screens.

Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs: The Sony Animation adaptation has finally moved from the shadow of Monsters Vs. Aliens, moving from March 27th 2009 to January 15th 2010…only to face ANOTHER CGI-animated film: Hoodwinked 2: Hood Vs. Evil.

Hotel Transylvania: Subsequently, Sony Animation’s other project has been delayed from September 25th 2009 to an undetermined 2010 date.

Guardians of Ga’Hoole: The Zach Snyder-directed animated adaptation will come out July 9th 2010. Considering the proximity to Zach Snyder’s “Watchmen”, the project must be further along than we had imagined.
