Release Changes: May 6th 2010

Some recent and important announcements and date changes this week, here’s the basics with help from ‘Zephyr’:

Tales from Earthsea
Though already released in 2006 in Japan and 2007 in various international territories and receiving only mixed reviews, Goro Miyazaki’s animated adaptation is finally getting a U.S. theatrical release on August 13th 2010.

The comic adaptation starring the likes of Bruce Willis, Morgan Freeman, Helen Mirren and John Malkovich, has been moved up a week to October 15th 2010.

An October 22nd 2010 release date has been announced for the Clint Eastwood-directed supernatural thriller starring Matt Damon and Bryce Dallas Howard.

The Rock-led action thriller has been pushed back a week to November 24th 2010.

30 Minutes or Less
Ruben Fleischer’s action/comedy starring Danny McBride has set an August 12th 2011.

Marvin the Martian
The live-action adaptation of the Looney Tunes character has been delayed indefinitely from October 7th 2011.

Ice Age: Continental Drift 3D
20th Century Fox has announced a July 23rd 2012 release date for the fourth film – ten days after the 3-D reboot of Spider-Man and one week before the third “Batman”.
