Release Changes: July 14th 2009

‘Zephyr’ is back with a short list of release date updates, two of which is specifying two recently announced projects.

A Perfect Getaway
The David Twohy-directed thriller starring Milla Jojovich, Steve Zahn, and Timothy Olyphant has moved up one week from August 14th to August 7th.

New York, I Love You
The spiritual sequel to Paris t’aime featuring a massive ensemble including Bradley Cooper, Shia LaBeouf, Natalie Portman, Blake Lively, Orlando Bloom, Hayden Christensan, Christina Ricci, Robin Wright Penn, Ethan Hawke, Anton Yelchin, Maggie Q, Andy Garcia, and many, many more has been scheduled for release on October 16th 2009.

The Vampire’s Assistant
The new name for Cirque de Freak, the Paul Weitz-directed vampire fantasy starring John C. Reiley, Willem Dafoe, Selma Hayek, and Ken Watanabe has been pushed up from January 16th 2010 to a more seasonally appropriate October 23rd 2009.

Due Date
The Todd Phillips-directed road trip comedy starring Zach Galifianakis as an untimely travel companion will come out June 4th 2010 against 20th Century Fox’s Gulliver Travels and Lionsgate’s Killers.

The Hangover 2
The sequel to the comedic juggernaut will come out Memorial Weekend on May 27th 2011, in between Thor on May 20th the week before and Kung Fu Panda 2 the week after on June 3rd. As it is highly doubtful that the only Memorial release will be a R-rated comedy, expect another major release to act as counter-programming to the feature. Possible films could be Walt Disney’s The Lone Ranger or Captain Nemo: 20,000 Leagues Under The Sea depending on which one goes further along in production.
