Release Changes: April 21st 2009

‘Zephyr’ is back with a few more release dates changes, namely from Warner Bros and Disney:

All About Steve
The Sandra Bullock romantic comedy, which was pulled just two weeks before its original March 6th date, has been scheduled for September 4th 2009.

The Fantastic Mr. Fox
The Wes Anderson-directed stop-motion adaptation has moved up a week from November 6th, where it would’ve had to have competed for Digital 3D screens against Disney’s A Christmas Carol, to November 13th.

The Tooth Fairy
Subsequently, Fox has moved the Dwayne Johnson-led fantasy comedy from November 13th 2009 to January 22nd 2010.

Diary of a Wimpy Kid
The adaptation of the instant kid-written bestseller has been scheduled for Easter Weekend on April 2nd 2010.

Date Night
The Shawn Levy-directed romantic comedy starring Steve Carrel, Tina Fey, Mark Wahlberg, James Franco, and a host of other actors has been scheduled for April 9th 2010.

Gulliver’s Travels
The adaptation of the literary classic starring Jack Black as the title character along with Jason Segel and Emily Blunt will come out June 4th 2010. Fox seems to be using a similar release strategy to Universal’s “Land of the Lost”. Gulliver’s and “The A-Team” are Fox’s only films scheduled so far for Summer 2010.

Alpha and Omega
The Lionsgate CGI animated film has been moved from April 16 2010 to October 1st.

The Blind Side
The Disney sports drama starring Sandra Bullock and Kathy Bates has been scheduled for November 20th 2009.

Cats & Dogs: Revenge of Kitty Galore
The pet battle royale sequel has moved again from November 20th 2009 to July 30th 2010.

Guardians of Ga’Hoole 3D
The CGI animated feature directed by Zach Snyder has been delayed from July 30th 2010 to an undetermined Holiday date. The delay is likely due to his involvement with the fantasy thriller “Sucker Punch”. It’ll likely be a date between Dreamworks’ “Master Mind”, due November 5th, and Disney’s “Rapunzel”, due Christmas Day.

The Last Song
The Nicholas Sparks adaptation starring Miley Cyrus will release in theaters on January 8th 2010.

Disney Nature has scheduled its next feature for April 22nd 2010. It can be assumed that its upcoming projects will come out on the Earth Day of each respective year.

Step Up 3D
The next feature to the dancing franchise will come out August 6th 2010 against Sony’s “The B-Team” and Warner Bros’ “Jonah Hex”.
