Production on the submarine action-thriller “Hunter Killer” is finally set to get underway as producer Neal Moritz and troubled company Relativity Studios have resolved their legal dispute.
Gerard Butler will star in “Hunter Killer” which became caught up in the mess of Relativity’s ongoing bankruptcy issues. A war of words between Mortiz and Relativity founder Ryan Kavanaugh spilled out into the press.
In a statement today, Moritz has very clearly changed his tune:
“I especially want to thank Ryan Kavanaugh for finding a solution that brings ‘Hunter Killer’ back to life. I’m looking forward to working with him and everyone at Relativity Studios to make a great film, and I am sorry we had a miscommunication.”
To get filming underway by next year, Millennium Films and Original Film have come onboard and will partner on the production and distribution of the film.
