Refn’s Protege Axelsson To Helm “Key Man”

Nicolas Winding Refn’s protege, Icelandic helmer Oskar Thor Axelsson (“Black’s Game”), is in final negotiations to direct the thriller “The Key Man” for Open Road Films and Safehouse Pictures says Variety.

Joby Harold (“All You Need Is Kill”) penned the script about a single father and puzzle editor who finds himself targeted by the U.S. government because his body holds clues that are key to uncovering important national secrets.

Harold, Bill Block, Paul Hanson and Tory Tunnell are producing. Axelsson replaces Brian De Palma who was previously attached.
