Reaction has been quite varied to Nicolas Winding Refn’s recent fashion industry horror film “The Neon Demon,” and now the helmer is turning his attention towards what he’s dubbed a “big extravagant action film”.
James Bond series writers Neal Purvis and Robert Wade are penning the script for the project dubbed “The Avenging Silence” which is being seen as Refn’s turn at a major franchise such as this after revealing he turned down directing the most recent Bond film “Spectre”.
Tweeting recently about the film’s influences, he cites both Ian Fleming’s “Dr. No” novel along with William Burroughs’ surreal “Nova Express”. However plot specifics he’s keeping very much under his hat.
