Classic British sci-fi comedy “Red Dwarf” will not die, in fact the acclaimed sitcom is set to make a come back for two more full seasons.
UK freeview channel Dave has announced plans for an eleventh and twelfth season of the show. The news came with a brief video teasing the new episodes which will air in 2016 and 2017 respectively. The two seasons will be shot back-to-back towards the end of this year.
Co-creator Doug Naylor says: “[We were] originally asked for more shows back in 2012. but frustratingly it’s taken until now to get our ducks in a row and all the boys available at the same time. Now they are, we’re all absolutely delighted.”
Star Craig Charles will be leaving his decade-long role on “Coronation Street” to shoot the new “Red Dwarf” seasons.
