Recession & London In “Sex” Sequel?

MSNBC & The Age report that the upcoming “Sex and the City” movie sequel will incorporate the global financial crisis into its storyline.

The proposed story line for Samantha (Kim Cattrall) will be her having to downsize her big-spending life after some of her investments get wiped out. You will see her having to survive on a more modest budget but still staying true to her fabulous taste.

The sequel was supposed to include scenes of Carrie Bradshaw (Sarah Jessica Parker) and Big (Chris Noth) in London. Big was to have lost a lot of money and takes a job in London, living alone in a one-bedroom apartment and ending up in bed with another woman. After she leaves him Carrie discovers she is pregnant.

However, that storyline may have to be scrapped after it was revealed Chris Noth is the only member from the first movie not to have signed on to reprise his role.
