The upcoming action sequel “Rambo: Last Blood” has been officially granted an R-rating with the MPAA citing it reasoning as “strong graphic violence, grisly images, drug use and language.”
Sylvester Stallone was gunning for the hard R rating in social media postings during the making of the movie, the actor seemingly determined to push boundaries with this film after the mistake of trying to go PG-13 with “The Expendables 3” which fizzled at the box-office.
Paz Vega, Sergio Peris-Mencheta, Adriana Barraza, Yvette Monreal, Genie Kim, Joaquín Cosío, Sheila Shah, Dimitri Vegas, Oscar Jaenada, and Louis Mandylor co-star in the film in which John Rambo has a new mission as he takes down a Mexican drug cartel.
New photos from the film are also out and can be seen below. “Rambo: Last Blood” hits cinemas on September 20th.
