Ralph Fiennes Has “Great Expectations”

Ralph Fiennes is in early talks to star in Mike Newell’s new adaptation of Charles Dickens’ “Great Expectations” says The Daily Mail.

Fiennes is up for the role of the mysterious Magwitch, however his commitment to a new stage version of “The Tempest” could prove a scheduling conflict as it opens around the same time Newell wants to kick off production in London in late August.

Jeremy Irvine is locked to play Pip while Helena Bonham Carter is also in talks to play Miss Havisham. Newell helms from a screenplay by Rowan Joffe.
