Railsback Helms Late Bro’s Barstow

One of the last scripts of the late scribe Philip Railsback (“Flash of Genius”), the darkly comic drama “Barstow”, will be turned into a feature for Monterrey Pictures according to The Hollywood Reporter.

Railsback’s brother, actor/director Steve Railsback (“The Flight of the Dove”), will helm the $4 million project in which Keith Carradine and Scott Wilson are attached to play supporting roles.

The story follows three desperate characters, one of whom finds hope in a small, depressed town. Railsback wrote “Barstow” ten years ago after living among poor residents of the eponymous California town.
