Radcliffe’s Equus Gets Put To Sleep

Daniel Radcliffe’s hit West End play “Equus” will close in June, just three months after opening to rave reviews reports The BBC.

Producers had been reportedly looking for an actor to replace the “Harry Potter” star at the end of his run, with “Billy Elliott” actor Jamie Bell oft mentioned as the favourite to take over. Both Orlando Bloom and Jesse Metcalfe were also mentioned as candidates.

Instead, the play will close in London and embark on a 12-week national tour with a new cast. The show will open on Broadway next year, followed by an Australian production.
