R.I.P. Michael Parks

Veteran character actor Michael Parks has died at the age of 77. The cause of death was not disclosed.

Parks has appeared in movies such as Quentin Tarantino’s “Kill Bill,” Ben Affleck’s “Argo,” Robert Rodriguez’s “From Dusk Till Dawn” and “Grindhouse,” and Kevin Smith’s “Red State” and “Tusk”.

Other film roles include “We Are What We Are,” “The Private Files of J. Edgar Hoover,” “Caged Fury,” “Nightmare Beach”, and both playing the title character in and directing 1986’s “The Return of Josey Wales”.

His TV credits are similarly strong with roles in “Then Came Bronson,” “Twin Peaks,” “Dynasty,” “Perry Mason,” “The Equalizer,” “Channing,” “Gunsmoke” and “Walker Texas Ranger”.

Parks is survived by his wife, Oriana Parks, whom he married in 1997, and a son, the actor James Parks.
