R.I.P. Michael Massee

Husky voiced actor Michael Massee has died at the age of 61, details of his death aren’t immediately available.

Massee has almost eighty film and television credits to his name including David Fincher’s “Se7en,” “Lost Highway,” “One Fine Day,” “CBGB,” the two “The Amazing Spider-Man” films, playing the primary villain on first season of “24,” and notable appearances on “Rizzoli and Isles,” “Carnivale,” “The X-Files,” “Alias,” “Murder One,” “Supernatural,” “House,” and “The Blacklist.”

However he also became famous for something more infamous – during working on his first major film, 1994’s “The Crow,” he was the one who fired the improperly prepared prop gun that killed Brandon Lee on the set. Massee reportedly never watched the film and returned to New York following the traumatic accident to take time off from acting.

Massee is survived by his wife, Ellen Massee, and their two children.
