Comedian, actor, writer and producer Garry Shandling has died, at an L.A. hospital on Thursday, at the age of 66 reports TMZ.
A cause of death has not yet been released, but the actor was not known to be suffering from any illnesses, in fact a few days ago he retweeted Kathy Griffin’s photo of himself, her and “Better Call Saul” star Bob Odenkirk which you can see below.
Chicago-born Shandling got his start as a writer before creating the sitcom “It’s Garry Shandling’s Show” at Showtime in which he played a stand-up comedian aware of the fact that he is a sitcom character.

He subsequently appeared or lent his voice to numerous films including “Zoolander,” “Over the Hedge,” “Iron Man 2” and “Captain America: The Winter Soldier”.
Sincerest condolensces go out to his family, friends and many fans.
