Beloved actor Alan Thicke has died at the age of 69. Thicke reportedly suffered a heart attack while playing hockey with one of his sons. He was transported to an L.A. area hospital on Tuesday afternoon and pronounced dead.
Thicke recently appeared on the Netflix sequel “Fuller House,” but was mostly known for his role as the patriarch of the family in 1980s sitcom “Growing Pains”.
Thicke was also a successful daytime talk show, occasional film actor and a TV writer and songwriter who composed theme songs for numerous sitcoms including “Diff’rent Strokes” and “The Facts of Life”.
He’s survived by his wife Tanya and sons Brennan, Carter and Robin.
