Quicksilver In “X-Men” Filmed At 3600FPS

Filmmaker Bryan Singer has revealed a little bit about how he will portray the speedy Quicksilver in the upcoming “X-Men: Days of Future Past”.

In a new tweet photo from the set, the director says he’s about to film on the “brightest set I’ve ever filmed on.” The reason for all the brightness?

He’s filming Evan Peters in character, but will shoot the scenes at a whopping 3,600 frames per second – 150 times faster than standard film photography. The effect however, when played back at normal speed, makes very fast movement look incredibly slow.

The character is said to have a “fantastic action scene” in the film, and this sounds like it’ll be a part of that sequence.
