Djimon Hounsou is set to join the cast of “Fast and Furious 7” at Universal Pictures. No details are currently available regarding his character.
Hounsou joins other new faces to the franchise with this outing including Ronda Rousey, Kurt Russell and Jason Statham. The project began shooting this week. [Source: Variety]
Actor Matthew McConaughey has revealed that in 2008 he turned down an offer of $15 million for the title role in a film adaptation of the classic 1980s private detective series “Magnum P.I.”.
McConaughey opted out of stepping into Tom Selleck’s shoes, instead changing his career to focus on smaller yet more critically lauded films like “Bernie,” “Magic Mike,” “Killer Joe,” “Mud” and the upcoming “Dallas Buyers Club”. [Source: News]
“Sherlock” star Benedict Cumbercatch says that his recent departure from Guillermo del Toro’s upcoming gothic thriller “Crimson Peak” had nothing to do with talk of him appearing in the next “Star Wars” film.
Cumberbatch says: “Absolutely not. No, no, no, no. That was nothing to do with it at all. [It was] between me and Guillermo, to be honest. It was amicable, and that’s all I’m going to say.” [Source: THR]
