Quickies: 50 Shades, Annies, Leave, Mad Max

Fifty Shades of Grey
Author EL James and producer Dana Brunetti used Instagram to confirm that the movie adaptation of “Fifty Shades of Grey” officially began shooting in Vancouver.

Jamie Dornan and Dakota Johnson were spotted filming a scene in a cafe. Focus Features and Universal are currently targeting a Valentine’s Day 2015 release.

Annie Awards
The Annie Award nominations have been announced celebrating the year’s best in animated features. Winners will be announced during the 41st annual ceremony on February 1st.

Those competing for the top honor of Best Animated Feature include “A Letter to Momo,” “Despicable Me 2,” “Ernest & Celestine,” “Frozen, “Monsters University,” “The Croods” and “The Wind Rises”. [Source: Deadline]

This Is Where I Leave You
Shawn Levy’s ensemble dramedy “This is Where I Leave You,” starring Jason Bateman and Tina Fey, has scored a September 12th 2014 release date.

Based on Jonathan Tropper’s 2009 book, the story follows the members of a dysfunctional family reuniting for their father’s funeral. Warner Brothers is distributing. [Source: Variety]

Mad Max: Fury Road
Additional filming is currently underway in Australia on George Miller’s “Mad Max: Fury Road” and actor Tom Hardy was recently photographed on the set at work on the film. Check out the shot below:
