What We Do In the Shadows
Though it has been in the works for sometime, FX has now officially given a series order for “What We Do In the Shadows,” a remake of Jemaine Clement and Taika Waititi’s 2014 vampire mockumentary film.

The pair are set to serve as co-creators and executive producers on the series which will consist of ten half-hour episodes airing in 2019. Matt Berry, Kayvan Novak, Natasia Demetriou, and Harvey Guillen star as a group of vampires living together as roommates in New York City. [Source: FX]

Beyond Good and Evil 2
Ubisoft has premiered more footage for the upcoming “Beyond Good and Evil 2” in a new featurette which shows off some new gameplay elements. The clip shows off melee combat with a bo staff, ship movement, personal jetpack flight, and walking scenes from the game which is expected to show off a lot of new footage at E3 next month.

Lovecraft Country
Wunmi Mosaku, Jonathan Majors and Jurnee Smollett-Bell star in HBO’s high-profile straight-to-series drama “Lovecraft Country” from Jordan Peele, J.J. Abrams, Misha Green and Warner Bros Television.

The story follows Atticus Black (Majors) as he joins up with his friend Letitia (Smollett-Bell) and his Uncle George to embark on a road trip across 1950s Jim Crow America in search of his missing father. Thus begins a struggle to survive and overcome both the racist terrors of white America and the terrifying monsters that could be ripped from a Lovecraft paperback. [Source: Variety]

Are You Sleeping
Apple has given a ten-episode season order for the Octavia Spencer-led drama series “Are You Sleeping” at Hello Sunshine and Chernin Entertainment. Based on Kathleen Barber’s novel, the story explores the consequences when crime-solving plays out on a public stage.

The drama will examine the nation’s long-held obsession with true-crime stories and the recent boom in podcasts dedicated to probing unsolved and disputed cases. Nichelle Tramble Spellman) created the show and will serve as showrunner. [Source: Variety]

Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom
Universal Pictures has released a new featurette about “Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom” with the film’s star Chris Pratt interviewing actors Daniella Pineda and Justice Smith about their experiences. A second one is also up with Pratt and his make-up artist Vivian Baker getting ready to film a scene. “Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom” opens in cinemas June 22nd.
