Roubaix, une lumiere
Lea Seydoux and Sara Forestier have reportedly joined the cast of Arnaud Desplechin’s tenth feature “Roubaix, une lumiere”. Desplechin (“The Sentinel,” “Ismael’s Ghosts”) helms the project which just began production and stars Roschdy Zem as a police chief in the titular city of Roubaix. The cop is trying to solve the mystery of a brutal murder of an older woman by her two female neighbors who are addicts. Seydoux and Forestier will play the two neighbors. SERA Films has optioned Harold Schechter’s bestselling novel “Hell’s Princess: The Mystery of Belle Gunness, Butcher of Men” with actor Joseph Cross developing and producing the limited series. Austin Francalancia will executive produce.
The true story follows Belle Gunness, America’s most notorious female serial killer, who lured dozens of unsuspecting men into her Indiana ‘murder farm’ – committing over twenty-eight gruesome murders at the turn of the 20th century after migrating from Norway to Indiana. [Source: Variety]

Paramount Pictures has acquired the rights to Jonathan Miles’ novel “Anatomy Of A Miracle” and has set Sheldon Turner (“Up In The Air,” “The Longest Yard”) to write the script. Jennifer Klein is producing.
The story follows a war vet who returns from battle to his hometown a paraplegic. Until one day he just literally stands up. No one knows how. The town thinks he’s a Messiah and he soon has news media and the Vatican on his doorstep. [Source: Deadline]
Screen Gems has picked up Joe Nussbaum’s raunchy comedy script “Parent’s Night”. The story follows a group of suburban parents who throw an unforgettable house party when their kids head off on a school trip.
