Paramount Home Entertainment has set an August 6th Digital HD and an August 27th 4K Ultra HD, Blu-ray, and DVD release for the Elton John musical fantasy biopic “Rocketman” starring Taron Egerton, Jamie Bell, Richard Madden and Bryce Dallas Howard.
The releases are reportedly packed with over 75 minutes of must-see bonus content, including four extended musical sequences introduced by director Dexter Fletcher. There’s also ten deleted and extended scenes with an introduction by Fletcher; sing-along tracks of 13 select songs; behind-the-scenes footage and interviews with Elton John, the cast, and filmmakers. Disney has announced it is set to release both the original 1992 animated classic “Aladdin” and this year’s 2019 live-action remake on 4K Ultra HD Blu-ray, regular Blu-ray and DVD on September 10th – in addition to a Digital HD release on August 27th. In fact, Disney Home Video is issuing a flood of 4K Ultra HD Blu-ray releases on September 10th with “Cars” 1 & 2, “Finding Nemo,” “Finding Dory,” “The Good Dinosaur,” “Brave,” “Inside Out,” and “Ratatouille” also all coming to format on the same day. NBCUniversal is reportedly planning to launch its advertising-supported streaming platform in April. NBCUniversal CEO Steve Burke talked up the company’s content options during Comcast’s second-quarter earnings call with Wall Street analysts. “Splice” director Vincenzo Natali’s adaptation of Joe Hill and Stephen King’s novella “In the Tall Grass” starring Patrick Wilson will reportedly hit Netflix on October 4th. In the story, a young boy’s cry for help instigates a sister and brother to venture into a vast field of grass in Kansas. they soon discover that there may be no way out.
