Arash Amel (“A Private War”) has been hired to pen New Line’s film adaptation of Ruth Ware’s suspense novel “In A Dark Dark Wood” for producers Reese Witherspoon and Bruna Papandrea.
The story follows a reclusive writer who receives an invitation to a bachelorette party of her best friend from high school who she hasn’t seen in ten years. There are no plans at present for Witherspoon to star in this one. [Source: Deadline]
Enigmatic “The Room” actor-filmmaker Tommy Wiseau has announced a new project which he’s already shot – “Scary Love”. No word on a possible release date as yet. Set in a bleak Los Angeles, Wiseau plays a bounty hunter in search of his long-lost love. Wiseau only stars in the film, with Jennifer Juniper Stratford serving as director on the sci-fi tale. The Wonder of All Things
Cheryl Dunye (“The Watermelon Woman”) is set to write and direct a film adaptation of Jason Mott’s novel “The Wonder of All Things” for Lionsgate. David Heyman and Jeff Clifford will produce.

Sony Pictures has picked up Jacob Chase’s supernatural spec script “Infinite” which now has Neal H. Moritz attached to produce. The story centers on a group of scientist-adventurers that have traveled to outer space, to the deepest of oceans, and now set their sights on their most dangerous expedition: the afterlife.
