Liam Neeson and Lesley Manville (“Phantom Thread”) are set to star in the Ireland-set romantic drama “Normal People” from Bankside Films. Lisa Barros D’Sa and Glenn Leyburn helms the film with shooting kicking off early July in Belfast.
The pair play a married couple with an easy relationship and a depth of love which expresses itself through tenderness and humor. When she is diagnosed with breast cancer, the course of her treatment shines a light on their relationship as the pair face the challenges that lie ahead. [Source: Variety]
Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle
Sony Pictures has announced that as of last night, “Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle” has surpassed Sam Raimi’s “Spider-Man” and become Sony’s highest-grossing film of all time domestically.
The film, a follow-up to the 1995 adventure-classic, has managed $403.7 million at the domestic box office to date and a total of $950 million worldwide. It’s the second-highest worldwide grossing film ever released by the studio, behind only “Skyfall”. [Source: Variety]
Actress Milla Jovovich has posted up a photo of the first banner art for the upcoming “Hellboy” reboot which is released January next year. Sadly there’s no look at the film itself, rather its Mike Mignola’s iconic artwork on its own being used to sell the film. David Harbour, Ian McShane, Daniel Dae Kim and Sasha Lane also star.
