Paramount Pictures has pushed back the coming-of-age tale “Monster Problems,” starring Dylan O’Brien, by six weeks and will now open April 17th. Michael Rooker, Dan Ewing and Arianna Greenblatt also star while Shawn Levy and Dan Cohen produce.
Michael Matthews helms the film in which O’Brien plays a young man living in a post-apocalyptic world overrun by monsters. Left Bank is developing a TV adaptation of Paul Sussman’s archaeological thriller novels “The Khalifa Mysteries” with Simon Allen adapting the scripts. The four-novel series mixes modern-day police procedural with archaeological mysteries – the first one mixing the 523 BC disappearance of an army with a contemporary murder investigation in Luxor. Ghost in the Shell: SAC_2045
Netflix has debuted the first teaser trailer for “Ghost in the Shell: SAC_2045,” the new third season of “Ghost in the Shell: Stand Alone Complex” featuring the return of Major Motoko Kusanagi. Set to debut in Spring 2020, the new season takes place in the year 2045 when, after global capitalism has defaulted, Japan’s elite Section 9 begins conducting covert cyber operations.
Sony Pictures has released a new poster for their reboot of “The Grudge,” one that harkens back to one of the most famous scenes of the original, while a trailer has been confirmed to be arriving online on Monday. Sam Raimi is back to produce the new take which is helmed by Nicolas Pesce and will be the first R-rated feature in the franchise.
