Man of the House
Late night talkshow host Jimmy Kimmel is joining the ABC comedy pilot “Man of the House”. Alyson Hannigan and Leslie Bibb star as dissimilar divorced sisters who move in together to raise their children. Kimmel is lending his voice as the off-camera narrator – a grown version of the character Bradley (Jake Short) who is the sole male of the cast. Jenna Ortega and Reece Caddell co-star. Mason Guccione (“Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle,” “13 Reasons Why”) has been cast opposite Tom Hardy in a key secret role in the Al Capone biopic “Fonzo” currently in production.

Josh Trank is directing from his own script about the ruthless businessman and bootlegger who ruled Chicago with an iron fist. The story is set just before he died at the age of 47, after a decade of imprisonment with dementia having rotted his mind. [Source: Variety]

Evil Genius
Netflix has released a trailer for its new true-crime documentary series “Evil Genius” which hails from the Duplass Brothers, the filmmakers whose recent other true crime series for service – “Wild Wild Country” – became a sensation.

‘Genius’ tells the story of the infamous ‘pizza bomber heist’ where a man was forced to rob a bank with an explosive strapped to his body. The four-part series goes deep into the crime and takes a look at how one of the most bizarre bank robberies came about. The series debuts on May 11th.

Fighting with My Family
MGM has delayed the Dwayne Johnson-produced wrestling drama “Fighting With My Family” from September 14th to March 1st 2019. Stephen Merchant is directing from his own script which is inspired by the story of WWE star Paige and her family. Florence Pugh, Jack Lowden, Lena Headey, Nick Frost and Vince Vaughn star while Johnson portrays himself. [Source: Variety]

Animated series “The Simpsons” has just aired its 636th episode, passing “Gunsmoke” to become the longest-running primetime scripted series on television. To celebrate they’ve released a Gunsmoke-inspired opening parody.
