The Invisible Man
Filmmaker Leigh Whannell has confirmed that his remake of “The Invisible Man” has wrapped principal photography in Sydney with Whannell now set to begin editing and post-production. Elisabeth Moss, Oliver Jackson-Cohen, Aldis Hodge and Storm Reid lead the cast of this new version which opens in cinemas next year. [Source: Twitter]

Bedtime Story
JS Entertainment and Starlight Media have picked up the Lucas Paulino and Angel Torres directed horror short “Bedtime Story” with plans for a feature remake which Sam Raimi and Rob Tapert will produce for Ghost House.

In the short, two young brothers hear their Mother’s haunting bedtime story and are terrorized when it comes to life. Paulino and Torres, who are famed commercial creators, are also attached to direct the feature. Craig Flores will also produce and writers are currently being sought. [Source: Deadline]

The Machine
Legendary has optioned the rights to develop comedian Bert Kreischer’s Facebook and YouTube stand-up special “The Machine” into a feature film. The video has generated more than 85 million views on Facebook and YouTube since hitting social media channels in December 2016.

Kreischer and Judi Marmel will produce the project which follows Kreischer’s adventure as a seventh-year senior at Florida State University who was accidentally majoring in Russian. Kreischer says he became well known among Russian Mafia members while studying abroad. Ultimately he was forced to become an accomplice in a train robbery. [Source: Variety]

Zombieland: Double Tap
Sony Pictures has released a new featurette for the upcoming sequel “Zombieland: Double Tap” which delivers new footage from Ruben Fleischer’s horror/comedy feature opening next month.

Rhett Reese, Paul Wernick, and David Callaham’s script features the return of America’s favorite post-apocalyptic family including Woody Harrelson. Jesse Eisenberg. Emma Stone and Abigail Breslin. Zoey Deutch, Avan Jogia, Thomas Middleditch, Rosario Dawson and Luke Wilson co-star.
