Following in the wake of their new single “Sucker,” the re-assembled Jonas Brothers are also coming back together for a new documentary which will follow the band’s first new music release in nearly six years.
Amazon Studios is behind the project which Amazon chief Jennifer Salke describes as: “a personal, behind the scenes look” at the brothers as they reunite for their upcoming tour. Untitled Roger Ailes Film
Filmmaker Jay Roach’s upcoming film about late Fox News founder Roger Ailes has been set for a December 20th wide release. Margot Robbie, Charlize Theron, Nicole Kidman, John Lithgow, Malcolm McDowell, Allison Janney, Kate McKinnon and Mark Duplass star.
Charles Randolph (“The Big Short”) penned the script which charts the story of the women who took on the Fox News Channel kingpin and the toxic male culture that existed at the network. [Source: Deadline]
I Care A Lot
Rosamund Pike (“Gone Girl”) is set to lead the cast of the thriller “I Care A Lot” for Black Bear Pictures. J Blakeson (“The 5th Wave”) penned and will direct with filming scheduled for June.
Pike will play Marla Grayson, a highly successful legal guardian with a knack for using the law to her benefit and her clients’ detriment. But when she cherry picks her seemingly perfect client, she soon realizes looks are deceiving. Additional casting is underway. [Source: Deadline]
Riz Ahmed is set to both produce and star in the spiritual music drama “Mughal Mowgli” which he has co-written with director Bassam Tariq. Ahmed will play a British Pakistani rapper who, on the cusp of his first world tour, is struck down by an illness that threatens to derail his big break. Da 5 Bloods
Paul Walter Hauser (“BlacKkKlansman”) will re-team with Spike Lee for the director’s forthcoming Netflix film “Da 5 Bloods”. The story follows a group of vets who attempt to put their broken selves back together in a story about the redemption of one’s soul.
Hauser is set to play Simon, a working man who sets out to locate and remove forgotten land mines in Vietnam before he’s taken hostage. Chadwick Boseman, Jean Reno, Delroy Lindo, and Jonathan Majors co-star. Lee penned the script with Kevin Willmott. [Source: Deadline]
