Disney’s “Mary Poppins Returns” arrives in time for Christmas and the studio has released a new clip and TV spot for the family friendly musical to announce that tickets are now on sale. The pre-sales follow early screening reaction to the film which has touted it as a potential critical and even awards darling beyond the obvious commercial play. “Mary Poppins Returns” opens in cinemas next month.
Orion Pictures has launched BestBuddi.com, a viral site tied in to the upcoming “Child’s Play” remake. The new version forgoes a possessed Chucky doll in favor of one whose programming code was hacked so that he has no limitations to learning and violence. The Book of Guns
Platform One Media has closed a first look deal with the team behind “Versailles” for a slate of projects, the first being the drama series “The Book of Guns” from “Michael Clayton” director and “Bourne” franchise writer Tony Gilroy. Simon Mirren and David Wolstencroft will executive produce the series, but plot details are under wraps. [Source: Deadline]
The CW’s three-night DC Elseworlds crossover event involving “Arrow,” “Flash” and “Supergirl” is nearly here and the network has released a new promo teasing what happens from the re-writing of reality to the inclusion of Tyler Hoechlin’s black-suited Superman. The event runs from December 9th-11th.
