Hobbs and Shaw
Dwayne Johnson has posted a new photo from the set of the “Fast and Furious” spin-off film “Hobbs and Shaw”. The pic shows off Vanessa Kirby’s character Hattie Shaw, a tequila-drinking bad ass MI6 operative and sister of Deckard Shaw (Jason Statham) who hits it off with Hobbs (Johnson) – much to Deckard’s chagrin. Filming is underway ahead of a Summer 2019 release. [Source: Instagram]

Made in Italy
Liam Neeson and his real-life son Micheal Richardson (“Vox Lux”) will team for “Dunkirk” and “Agent Carter” actor James D’Arcy’s directorial debut “Made In Italy” which will begin filming in April in Italy. D’Arcy also penned the script.

Neeson will play Robert, a bohemian London artist who returns to Italy with his estranged son (Richardson) to make a quick sale of the house they inherited from his late wife. Bill Nighy and Jack Lowden were previously attached to star. [Source: Variety]

Royal Runaway
Vince Marcello (“The Kissing Booth”) has signed on to direct and produce a film adaptation of Lindsay Emory’s romantic novel “The Royal Runaway”.

The story follows a modern-day princess who is forced to team with a roguish spy to find out what happened to her fiance who left her at the altar, and in the process, chucks the rulebook to create her own happily-ever-after. [Source: Deadline]

Ottoman Rising
Netflix has handed out a six-episode series order for the hybrid docu-drama “Ottoman Rising” from STXtv. The story follows Mehmed II, better known as Mehmed the Conqueror, and chronicles his astonishing and fabled rise from 13-year-old child Sultan to toppling Constantinople and becoming the ruler of the Ottoman Empire in the 15th century. Doom Patrol
DC Universe has released more photos from the upcoming fourth episode of its series “Titans,” this week’s episode which will introduce members of the Doom Patrol who will be getting their own spin-off series in early 2019.

Elasti-Girl (April Bowlby), Robotman (Brendan Fraser), and Negative Man (Matt Bomer) all appear in the episode, but so far there’s no sign of The Chief (Timothy Dalton), Cyborg (Jovian Wade) and Crazy Jane (Diane Guerrero) who aren’t expected to appear until the full series.
