Quick News Hanna Heights Goodrich Jangle Lucifer

“Hanna” has been renewed for a second season at Amazon, just a few weeks after its debut on the service, Based on Joe Wright’s 2011 film, the story follows the titular 15-year-old Hanna (Esme Creed-Miles), who was raised in total seclusion in the remote woods of Eastern Europe by her mercenary father Erik Heller (Joel Kinnaman). Her survivalist skills are tested by a rogue CIA operative Marissa Wiegler (Mireille Enos) and her team of agents. In the Heights
Leslie Grace and Melissa Barrer will join Corey Hawkins and Anthony Ramos in filmmaker Jon M. Chu’s film adaptation of Lin-Manuel Miranda’s Tony-winning musical “In The Heights”. In addition, Jimmy Smits is said to be nearing a deal to join the cast.

Set in the Upper Manhattan neighborhood of Washington Heights, the plot revolves around several people who aspire to better lives as gentrification begins to take hold, and a sweltering summer power blackout brings their personal life crises to a head. Michael Keaton is attached to star in Hallie Meyers-Shyer’s “Goodrich” which Amy Pascal is producing. No studio has yet been setup for the project which will begin shooting this Fall.

The story centers on a man named Andy Goodrich in the aftermath of his second wife leaving him. He is faced with taking care of their nine-year-old twins and has to seek help from his adult daughter. [Source: Variety]

Jingle Jangle
Keegan-Michael Key, Phylicia Rashad, Anika Noni Rose and newcomer Madalen Mills will join Forest Whitaker in David E. Talbert‘s event holiday film “Jingle Jangle” for Netflix. The project is the first live-action original musical for Netflix and will premiere in 2020.

Whitaker plays Jeronicus Jangle, a once-great inventor and toy maker who has lost his belief in himself and his inventions. He stumbles upon a second chance and a magical invention, when his precocious granddaughter (Mills) comes to town for the holidays. If he can get the thing to work in time for the holidays, it will change their lives forever. [Source: Blackfilm]

Following the steamy teaser trailer the other day, Netflix has premiered the first poster for the upcoming fourth season of the previously cancelled FOX series “Lucifer” which will now debut exclusively on the streamer. “Lucifer” returns for a new season on May 8th.
