First Set Pics From Charlies Angels Reboot

Charlie’s Angels
Production has officially wrapped on director Elizabeth Banks’ “Charlie’s Angels” reboot at Sony Pictures. Kristen Stewart, Naomi Scott and Ella Balinska lead the cast of the new film which also stars Patrick Stewart and Banks as two versions of Bosley in the story in which the Townsend Agency is now a multinational security outfit with numerous ‘angels’ worldwide. Untitled Sally Potter Film
Javier Bardem, Elle Fanning, Salma Hayek, Chris Rock, and Laura Linney are all set to star in filmmaker Sally Potter’s new untitled family drama which has just begun production for BBC Films, BFI, HanWay Films and Bleecker Street.

The story is described as a chronicle of a wild day in the life of a man (Bardem) on the edge, held together by the unconditional love of his daughter (Fanning). Hayek is Bardem’s spouse. Filming will also happen in New York in January while Christopher Sheppard (“Orlando,” “The Party”) will produce. [Source: Variety]

The Strange Fascinations
Scribe Andrew Lanham (“The Glass Castle,” “Just Mercy”) is set to pen an adaptation of David Arnold’s novel “The Strange Fascinations of Noah Hypnotik” for Paramount Players.

The story follows a sixteen-year-old boy, who is also a disillusioned swimmer and a Bowie fanatic, who gets hypnotized and starts seeing changes in the world around him – except for his Strange Fascinations. Ellen Goldsmith-Vein and Eric Robinson will produce. [Source: Deadline]

Strange Times
TBS has ordered a TV series adaptation of the acclaimed graphic novel “Strange Times” written by former Blink-182 band member Tom DeLonge who will executive produce alongside Stan Spry, Russell Binder, Jeff Holland and showrunner Aaron Karo. DeLonge also hopes that the series adaptation will feature a soundtrack full of some of his favorite rock groups. [Source: Variety]

Untitled Pregnancy Comedy
“Crazy Rich Asians” star Constance Wu is in talks to star in an untitled romantic comedy for Screen Gems. Savion Einstein penned the script while “GLOW” actress Kimmy Gatewood will direct. Elizabeth Banks and Max Handelman will produce.

The story follows a charmingly chaotic woman who has to get her life together when she becomes a rare case of someone with superfecundation – that is becoming pregnant with two babies from two different men. [Source: THR]

Kingdom Hearts III
Square Enix has released the opening movie trailer for the upcoming RPG game “Kingdom Hearts III”. No actual gameplay is shown, but it does show off some of the environments and characters from the highly-anticipated third chapter of the series. Set in a vast array of Disney worlds, Kingdom Hearts follows the journey of Sora, a young boy and unknowing heir to a spectacular power. The game releases January 25th.
