STXfilms has released the first photo from Brent Bell’s horror sequel “The Boy 2” starring Katie Holmes. In the film, a young family moves into Heelshire Mansion – unaware of its terrifying history. Their young son (Christopher Convery) soon makes an unsettling new friend, an eerily life-like doll he calls Brahms. Owain Yeoman and Ralph Ineson also star in this follow-up to the 2018 supernatural thriller which made $68 million worldwide, and shooting began last week in British Columbia, Canada. [Source: STX]
Knock Down the House
Netflix has scored the worldwide distribution rights to award-winning documentary “Knock Down the House” which chronicles the campaigns of four female progressive candidates against powerful incumbents in the 2018 midterm elections. One of them, Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, has become something of a congressional superstar. Rachel Lears helms the film which won the audience award in the doco category along with the Festival Favorite Award announced yesterday. [Source: Netflix]
Fourteen-year-old actress Marsai Martin (“Black-ish,” “Little”) has signed a first-look film deal with Universal Pictures and her production company Genius Productions. That makes her the youngest person to sign a first-look deal with the studio, and one of the youngest to get a deal with any studio. She will be developing original scripts alongside co-founder Joshua Martin, vice president Carol Martin and creative head Prince Baggett. [Source: THR]

Gravitas Ventures has acquired worldwide rights to Michelle Schumacher’s drama “I’m Not Here” with plans for a March 8th release. J.K. Simmons, Sebastian Stan, Maika Monroe, Mandy Moore, and Max Greenfield co-star.
in the series, Simmons portrays a man haunted by his past as every object in his home, every sound he hears, reminds him of a specific event in his life as he attempts to move past the pain and forgive his trespassers, and more importantly, forgive himself. [Source: Variety]
Justice League vs. The Fatal Five
Warner Bros. Animation and DC have released the trailer for their next feature-length animated feature “Justice League vs. The Fatal Five”. The project arrives on Digital HD starting March 30th and then on disc on April 16th.
