Sony Pictures Television and Original Film have optioned Edgar Award-nominated Adam Sternbergh’s thriller novel “The Blinds” as a TV series.

The God Wave Trilogy
Stone Village Films’ Scott Steindorff and Dylan Russell are set to produce an adaptation of Patrick Hemstreet’s “The God Wave Trilogy” with plans for a series of films. The pair are meeting with directors and writers.

Tyler MacIntyre will direct and former New Line Cinema chief Bob Shaye is set to produce the original film “Nightlight” for Sony Pictures. MacIntyre and Chris Hill co-wrote the low-budget thriller spec about a ten-year-old boy who must fight off some sort of invaders while home alone. [Source: Heat Vision]
The War with Grandpa
The Weinstein Company and Dimension Films have delayed the release of the Robert De Niro-led comedy “The War with Grandpa” which will now open on February 23rd 2018, months later from an October 20th release.
Based on the bestselling book by Robert Kimmel Smith, the story follows a young man (Oakes Fegley) forced to give up his bedroom to his Grandpa and stops at nothing to get his room back – but Grandpa doesn’t give up easily.
