Charlie’s Angels
Sony Pictures has released a photo of actresses Kristen Stewart, Naomi Scott and Ella Balinska – the new “Charlie’s Angels” in director Elizabeth Banks upcoming reboot of the property.

The new take reimagines the Townsend Agency as a security and intelligence service that has teams of kickass women around the world. Patrick Stewart, Djimon Hounsou and Banks herself co-star. [Source: Twitter]

Dream Horse
Toni Collette and Damian Lewis will lead the cast of Euros Lyn’s true story tale “Dream Horse” which Neil McKay has penned for Film4, Raw, Ingenious Media and Film Cymru Wales. Louise Osmond’s documentary “Dark Horse” chronicled the same story.

Collette will play a woman who starts a racing syndicate in her small Welsh village and attempts to raise a champion racehorse. Lewis is the local accountant who joins the impromptu syndicate. [Source: Variety]

The Hunt
Emma Roberts (“Paradise Hills”), Justin Hartley (“This Is Us”), and Glenn Howerton (“A.P. Bio”) and have signed on for the Damon Lindelof and Nick Cuse-penned political thriller “The Hunt” at Universal Pictures and Blumhouse Productions.

The story reportedly explores escalating aggressiveness between the political right and left in America, but details remain under wraps. Craig Zobel (“Z for Zachariah”) helms the film which opens October 18th. [Source: Deadline]

The Honeymoon
Freckle Films has picked up the movie rights to Dinitia Smith’s 2016 historical drama novel “The Honeymoon” with Jessica Chastain to produce. The story deals with author Mary Ann Evans, who wrote under the pen name George Eliot, and her honeymoon in Venice in 1880 following her marriage to John Walter Cross, a man 20 years younger.

Recovering from the death of her companion of 26 years, and contemplating questions about her physical decline, her fading appeal, and the prospect of loneliness. The story explores the possibilities of redemption and happiness in an imperfect union. [Source: Variety]
