Drew Barrymore
Entertainment One and the family-focused The Mother Company are teaming for two projects which are both to be produced by Drew Barrymore’s Flower Films. The first is the half-hour comedy series “Howard Wallace, PI” based on the book series by Casey Lyall. It follows an awkward 12-year-old self-styled gumshoe detective who teams up with savvy city-slicker new girl to solve middle-grade mysteries for hire.

The other is based on Anne Ursu’s “The Lost Girl” and is a darkly-hued, magical, hour-long series following identical twin sisters who, after being separated for the first time, find their quiet, suburban life unravelling. Strange occurrences begin to percolate in their small Midwestern town that set off an ominous mystery. [Source: Deadline]

Equal
Greg Berlanti and Jim Parsons are teaming for the four-part LGBTQ-focused docuseries “Equal” which has been set up at HBO Max and Warner Horizon Unscripted TV. The series chronicles the landmark events and forgotten heroes of the LGBTQ+ movement like Harry Hay, the Daughters of Bilitis, Christine Jorgensen and Bayard Rustin. Each hourlong episode brings to life the stakes and deadlines of historical events that have not yet been given their due. The series will feature high-end re-enactments and never-before-seen footage. [Source: The Live Feed]
