“The Queen” trio of actor Michael Sheen, director Stephen Frears and writer Peter Morgan will re-team for a film about football manager Brian Clough.
Sheen will play Clough in “Bloody United”, covering the legend’s early years as a player and manager.
Sheen told Teletext UK that “I’ve played Tony Blair and Kenneth Williams, people not known for their humility, so old big ‘ead will be in that vein”.
He added that “This is going to be very hard-hitting and gritty, it’s set before football was glamour and showbiz and was harder and much tougher. I know Peter is very interested in the political side of Clough – he was a great socialist”.
