“Purge” Series To Explore Non-Purge Days

Speaking at NBC’s upfront presentation, producer Jason Blum has offered some new details about the upcoming TV series based on “The Purge” film franchise.

The features are set in a fictional version of the United States of America where one day each year when, for twelve hours, all crime (including murder) is legal.

Blum says the premise of the series, however, will reveal to the fans what happens the other 364 days of the year and how that law affects people.

Franchise creator James DeMonaco will pen, direct and executive produce the series which is slated to run on both USA Network and Syfy in 2018.
